Police recently arrested a man who had escaped from the Michigan Department of Corrections almost 34 years ago. Living under an alias, the man was finally caught after fingerprinting technology matched him within the court computer system to his true identity and previous convictions.

In July 2010, a Hartford woman was arrested for identity and property theft after using a stolen credit card at a local restaurant. During that time, she was also carrying with her three duffel bags containing stolen property from Hartford homes.

Over the weekend, a Michigan ex-convict was taken into custody by police after allegedly attempting to abduct four women during a three hour period, raping one.

Last Wednesday, former University of Michigan football player Boubacar Cissoko pled guilty to a count of Michigan armed robbery charges, as well as four counts of larceny in the Washtenaw County area. If sentenced to the maximum extent, the Cissoko could spend 45 years behind bars for his involvement in the case.

Criminal charges are being brought against a former Grand Rapids surgeon who was caught taking numerous items from a hotel where he was a guest. An inn employee witnessed Roger Gemmen taking hotel items out of the building and put them into a vehicle with a Michigan license plate, leading to his eventual arrest.

Former University of Michigan football palyer Boubacar Cissoko was arraigned this past week for criminal charges stemming from multiple robbery incidents on campus involving a taxi driver and food delivery men. Although he was booted from the football team in October, if convicted of the many crimes of which he is accused, it is possible that he will face significant jail time.

After months of investigation, law enforcement officials discovered that five men accused of Michigan theft and drug charges actually had participated in additional criminal activity–an international crime ring focused on stealing people’s identities and distributing the credit card numbers to the higest bidder.
