The U.S. Court of Appeals overturned the sentence of a Michigan dermatologist convicted of 31 counts of health-care fraud. The three-judge panel affirmed the conviction, but found that the lower court misapplied the “vulnerable-victim” statute, ultimately giving the defendant a longer jail sentence then appropriate.
